For 18 years, the Association of Women Construction Workers of America, Inc. (AWCWA) has passionately advocated for the advancement of women in construction. We partner with educational institutions and workforce agencies to create programs that educate and empower underserved individuals, building a better-informed workforce. Our mission is to provide opportunities in construction and professional service industries to those who need it most.

Advocating For Women & Minority Rights
AWCWA educates women, minorities, veterans, and justice-involved individuals in underserved communities to get into construction and related industries such as clean energy and more. This has allowed us to connect with contractors and unions to develop measures, such as crisis management preventative programs, to address their needs for careers in the construction industry.
Education & Workforce Development
Our programs specialize in providing vocational training through partnerships like Goodwill B2W (back to work). These include pre-apprenticeship and construction skills training, empowering women and underserved communities through education. Construction & Workplace Compliance
AWCWA actively organizes networking events for employment opportunities for job seeking individuals. As a designated partner with United States Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, AWCWA assists contractors in meeting federal compliance requirements related to the employment of women and minorities. Our agency role is to provide contractors with access to a qualified and diverse workforce, ensuring they meet compliance standards. We contribute to the broader goal of equal employment opportunities and workforce diversity in the construction industry.
